Today at lunch time, Miss Quirk and Mrs Nurse hosted a lively workshop in the LRC, where Year 7 pupils got the chance to ask a panel of teachers ‘why their subject was the best’.
The panel comprised of eight teachers all ready to represent their department and put forward facts, insight, personal views and passion to help pupils decide which subject was the ‘best’. Here were the teachers on the panel:
Year 7 pupils surprised everyone with thoughtful and challenging questions that drove a respectful debate among teachers. The event felt especially relevant after Mrs Quirk live-streamed the budget announcement from the Houses of Parliament, which gave students a real time example of how national decisions affect everyday life.
