Every pupil at John Taylor High School has a Form Tutor, this is the first point of contact for any wellbeing concerns. Pupils also have a Head of Year who can help support with signposting and advice regarding Mental Health. We also employ a Wellbeing Officer, the case load for the Wellbeing Officer is managed by the school SENDCo. The Wellbeing Officer uses evidenced based interventions to support pupils in school with managing their own wellbeing, this focuses primarily on helping pupils develop strategies to develop resilience so they can take positive steps to support their own wellbeing.
