Welcome to the Social Sciences Curriculum page

The Head of Faculty is Mr Hulley.

Our Aim: Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that is relevant to the needs of students and employers.

Equip students with a specialist and realistic understanding of how to meet the needs of individuals who use services, whilst challenging stereotypes and discrimination. Build confidence and transferable skills that ensure students are ready for future study and beyond. Enhance critical thinking skills through analysis and evaluation.

Embed care values at the heart of Health and Social Care study so that students develop interpersonal skills, such as empathy, compassion, commitment, tolerance and empowerment. This will then enable students to become educated citizens who can contribute to society in a positive way.
