Home Learning

Home learning is an important part of the learning experience for students at John Taylor. It provides an opportunity for students to consolidate and build upon learning from lessons, as well as develop research skills as independent learners. In addition, it requires students to be disciplined and manage their time effectively to meet deadlines.

With busy lives and families engaged in lots of activities outside of school we do not provide a prescribed homework timetable for work to be completed each evening. Students will receive regular Home Learning and this can be accessed by students, parents and teachers on Go4Schools. To log in to Go4School visit the Useful Links section on the Learning section of the website.

For the times when your son/daughter has completed all of their homework the following document contains advice on what parents/carers can do support and enrich learning at home and revise learning that has taken place in lessons.

The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development is exceptional. (Ofsted, May 2025)
