All marking and feedback should be meaningful, manageable and motivating and should serve a single purpose – to advance pupils progress and outcomes by acknowledging students’ work, checking the outcomes and making decisions about what students need to do next.

Marking forms part of the assessment policy, alongside other practices that create positive pupil outcomes and drive future planning. Our focus is on the quality of marking and feedback, not quantity.

There are so many opportunities outside the classroom to get involved in. There are a variety of clubs and trips which I have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in. (Year 11 pupil)
