A group of Year 12 students were immersed into a leadership day at JCB HQ on Friday 27th June, to learn more about how a business operates on such a large scale.

The trip was organised by John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust meaning our students joined other sixth form pupils from within the MAT on their exciting day.

Here’s what Year 12 student Louie, said about the trip. ‘’As part of the JCB leadership programme trip, we had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the main factory, where some of JCB’s most iconic vehicles are made, as well as take part in a variety of leadership workshops. This experience has enhanced my understanding of what it truly means to take on a position of leadership and has helped me gain a greater understanding of the operations of JCB as a whole. We also had the chance to interact with students from other sixth forms within the JTMAT, which has never been able to happen before, and was a good opportunity to enhance my communication and teamwork skills with people who I did not know.”

Thank you to Mrs Ball, Subject Leader for CEIAG, for facilitating the day! To find out more about the careers provision at JTHS click here: Careers – John Taylor High School
