We know that making decisions about what to do after Sixth Form can be a daunting task for our students. Therefore, we make sure that they are supported every step of the way when making their choices.
This begins through our personal development programme which incorporates information about all options available to students including Higher Education, apprenticeships, employment and gap years.
Students and families are invited to a ‘Post 18 Evening’ in Year 12 which covers a range of support including:
- UCAS, Personal Statement Writing & Cover Letters
- How to Search for Opportunities
- Top Tips for Securing an Apprenticeship
- Early Entry Applications (Oxbridge & Medicine)
- Gap Years & Alternative Pathways
Students have access to the Unifrog platform which provides them with information about a wide range of Post 18 options. For students who need additional support we offer independent careers advice through appointments with an external provider.
When it comes to making applications in Year 13 students are supported through the process by their tutor and the wider Sixth From team.
Students are immensely proud of their school, and one spoke for many when they described the sixth form as ‘where the magic happens’. (Ofsted, May 2025)
