We would like to remind parents and pupils of the process, should your child purchase an item from the canteen and there are insufficient funds on their ParentPay account.

  • We know that parents are busy and may genuinely forget to top up their child’s ParentPay account.
  • We also know that in some cases parents have topped up their child’s ParentPay account, however the money does not show immediately.
  • We know that there is the rare occasion when ParentPay has technical faults therefore parents cannot top up the child’s account

Should your child encounter a problem with payment at the canteen, the following process must be taken:

  • Canteen Staff will tell the pupil to go to Staff Office (near First Aid)
  • Staff Office will check the ParentPay account to establish the issue
  • Staff Office will call parents/carers to authorise an overspend of £5 for that day
  • If Staff Office is unable to make contact with the parent/carer, the school will automatically authorise a £5 overspend
  • The pupil will be given a purple slip to take back to the canteen. They will be allowed to go back to the front of the queue to make their food/drink purchase.
  • We kindly ask that parents/carers top up their child’s account immediately to cover the £5 loan from the school.
