John Taylor High School were celebrating pupil’s impressive GCSE & Vocational course results and thrilled to see many pupils across the cohort exceeding expectations. The strong performance is a testament to the tenacity of the pupils and teaching specialists within the school.
Headteacher, Mr Blanchenot, commented that “it has been an incredible year for our Year 11 pupils and I am honoured to have witnessed their hard work and commitment during my first year as Headteacher. I am very proud of the exceptional pupils we have in our school community and I am pleased they have achieved their personal best”. He added that “our results demonstrate that we continue to provide a high-quality education for our students. We aim to provide a rich curriculum which is not only broad, but ambitious too. We believe it is important to develop well-rounded students, both academically and personally, in order to fully prepare them for their next steps”.
Miss Dean, Head of Upper School added: ‘’Based on the success of the results, we are delighted to welcome a high number of the Year 11 cohort back to our Sixth Form in September as they progress to the next step of their pathway. I have every confidence that they will maintain the high expectations that John Taylor set and seize every opportunity that comes their way. Well done and good luck to you all. It’s been a pleasure to watch you thrive.’’







Notable students who achieved exceptional results include; Tilly Grosvenor who achieved 10 grade 9’s, Daniel Spiers who achieved 9 grade 9’s and 1 grade 8, Emily Capell and Millie Eagles who both achieved 6 grade 9’s and 4 grade 8’s, Jess Henley who achieved 7 grade 9’s, 2 grade 8’s and 1 grade 7, Verity Butters who achieved 6 grade 9’s, 2 grade 8’s and 1 grade 7, Daniel Clamp who achieved 6 grade 9’s, 3 grade 8’s and 1 grade 6, Liv Plover who achieved 3 grade 9’s, Distinction* and 6 grade 8’s, Scarlett Stallard-Wheeler who achieved 4 grade 9’s, 5 grade 8’s and 1 grade 7 and Chloe Pick who achieved 3 grade 9’s, 6 grade 8’s and 1 grade 7.
In vocational subjects, there were a number of students achieving a Distinction* a selection of these includes Joshua Baldock, Seren Baumber, Niamh Bell, Alfie Beveridge, Harry Drayton, Krystal Trinh and Liv Plover.
In addition to the results, there were a substantial number of students who have progressed immensely throughout their time at John Taylor High School. A special mention goes to Mohammad Sultan, Emily Capell, Tilly Grosvenor, Junayd Amjid, Jess Henley, Krystal Trinh, Minnie DeBlock, Verity Butters and Lucy Hall.
