On 27th June, Mrs Bostock proudly represented our school at the 2025 Computer Science in Schools Conference (CSISCO), held at Staffordshire University. This annual event unites leading educators and tech innovators to spark fresh ideas in computer science education.
Sharing the spotlight with influential organisations such as the British Computer Society, the Raspberry Pi Foundation and major exam boards, Mrs Bostock stood among the best in the field. Industry leaders including Techskills, the West Midlands Cyber Crime Unit and GivEducation added further prestige to the event.
Her workshop on Astro Pi, the Raspberry Pi computers used aboard the International Space Station, was a standout success. She captivated attendees with her creative, hands-on approach to physical computing, demonstrating how these tools can transform classroom learning into an immersive, out-of-this-world experience.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive:
- “I like how the emulators work.”
- “I can see how this will work in a classroom.”
- “I can see how this will engage students.”
- “I like how you showed the stages to make this work for everyone.”
- “I’m trying this out with my students.”
