There was a hive of activity at lunchtime on Wednesday for the first round of our Chess Championship. Twenty-eight pupils and staff battled it out in a fun and friendly environment to gain points as they move through the rounds.
Chess Club, which is spearheaded by Mrs Ball, Miss Arif, Mrs Abott & Mr Ali, has seen significant growth and become one of the most popular extra-curricular clubs at school.
The 4-week tournament will test our pupil’s skill, determination and strategy and we are excited to see who will be crowned the JTHS Chess Champion. Thank you to everyone involved for their enthusiasm and getting involved!
