Primary (3-7), Primary (5-11), Primary (5-11) SEND and Secondary (11-16)

The John Taylor SCITT has been training teachers for over 10 years and has awarded over 450 trainees Qualified Teacher Status since 2016. Building on our Primary (3–7) and (5–11) provision, alongside their 12-subject Secondary offer, they are delighted to launch their newest teacher training route, now open for applications for a September 2026 start – The Primary (5-11) SEND Enhancement Programme.

This Primary (5-11) SEND Enhancement programme has been carefully designed to prepare trainees to work confidently and effectively with pupils with special educational needs across the primary age range. It builds on our established ITT curriculum, with an enhanced focus on inclusive practice, adaptive teaching, and meeting the needs of all learners in both mainstream and specialist settings.

The John Taylor SCITT are proud to be extending this provision in this area and strengthening their commitment to inclusive education. This programme reflects both local and national priorities in ensuring all pupils receive high-quality teaching and support.
