Back to News

You will be aware that we have recently started a feasibility study to develop a floodlit 3G Artificial Grass Pitch on the school site.  Working with the Football Foundation and Staffordshire Football Association over the next 6 -9 months we will be going through a framework to develop the detailed design for the facility prior to submitting a formal planning application to East Staffordshire Borough Council and a funding application to the Football Foundation.  If all goes to plan, the new pitch should be built summer 2026.

This development will not only provide a fantastic new facility for students at the school but will provide a training and match play venue for the local community to use in the evenings, at weekends and during school holidays.  We are working closely with local football and rugby clubs, community groups and organisations to identify programmes and activities to support the need of the community as well as deliver a number of targeted activities to support women and girls, disabled people, low socio-economic groups and people from culturally diverse communities.

How You Can Support | Whilst the school have identified funding towards the project and will also be applying for grants, we do want to offer the wider community the opportunity to be part of this exciting project. This could be through a one-off donation or sponsorship, either as an individual or linked to your business.

ONE-OFF DONATIONS

If you would like to make a one-off donation to support our school contribution, please access ParentPay and look for the following payment option;

If you are not a parent at the school but would also like to donate, you can do so via the following link | John Taylor High School Shop

What could the benefit of sponsorship be to your organisation?

  • Advertising of your company / organisation through sponsorship boards and/or facility naming rights.
  • Access to over 1000 community members per week using the facility.
  • A partnership with a local school and community groups.
  • Delivery of programmes and activities for staff members.

Thank you very much for considering this information and for your potential donations. Your support will be instrumental in enabling us to move forward with the project and its ongoing success.
