Information from The National College: Our WakeUpWednesday guides empower and equip parents, carers and educators with the confidence and practical skills to be able to have informed and age-appropriate conversations with children about online safety, mental health and wellbeing and climate change.

Mrs Appleton, Senior Family Support Worker & DDSL here at John Taylor High School would like to particularly draw parents/carers attention to the following topics. You can click on each title to read more.

Generative AI Safety – Misinformation & Privacy | Anime – Age Appropriate & Deceptive Appearance | Group Chats – Isolation & Peer Pressure

There is also Online Safety Guidance here for Parents/Carers from the Children’s Commissioner ‘What I wish my parents or carers knew’.

Should you have any concerns, or would like to talk to a member of staff about any of these topics, please email s.appleton@jths.co.uk
