As part of Revision the Geography department have put together a comprehensive revision schedule for Year 11 for their exams this year. To help students we have created a new padlet which students can access revision videos, checklists of the specification, exam papers, case studies and many more materials: GCSE Geography Revision Padlet.
We are advising our GCSE Geography students to complete three revision activities per fortnight, starting in January 2026.
Each revision session should be 30 minutes and should include 20 minutes of revision and 10 minutes testing.
We advise that the three sessions each week should be structured as follows:
Session 1- Case Studies- Create a flash card for a case study. Structure this with the name of the case study and questions on one side and then the answers on the other. Once you have created your flash card, spend 10 minutes testing your knowledge. Once you have built up your bank of flash cards, you can group these into Paper 1, 2, 3 and test yourself more regularly.
Session 2- Keywords- Create a flash card of key words for each topic. Structure this with the key words on one side and the definitions on the other. Once you have created your flash card, spend 10 minutes testing your knowledge.
Session 3- Revision videos. Watch a revision video. You can then complete practice questions (see past papers section).
We hope this will help students succeed in their Exams
