This week’s Hot Chocolate with the Head celebrated pupils’ achievements within Performing Arts and Equestrian .
Firstly, Nell in Year 8 was nominated for personal excellence. She auditioned and secured a bursary from the Burton Competitive Music Festival and danced at the Festival Concert at the Brewhouse. Nell shared that she has only been dancing since she was 9 years old but her incredible natural talent has excelled her into becoming an accomplished young dancer in only a few years. Nell trains for five hours each week in ballet and musical theatre, balancing schoolwork around her dancing rehearsals, auditions and shows. She is also keen to complete a dance GCSE in the future with her current dance school. Well done Nell, it was great to hear more about your achievements and passion for dance.
Isabella in Year 9 and Daisey in Year 10 were also invited to attend the celebration this morning, but unable to join. Isabella was nominated for being a cast member of (LMYT) Lichfield Musical Youth Theatres production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Isabella’s natural talent often sees her performing in our own school shows & concerts too. Well done Isabella! Daisey in Year 10 was nominated by Miss Liechti, who was incredibly impressed when Daisey came third at the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) Championships. Well done Daisey!
