This week Year 10 pupils took part in mock interview sessions led by experienced ex-professionals from Bridge Builders. In a supportive setting, pupils practised answering the kinds of questions they might hear in real interviews. Pupils discussed their chosen GCSE subjects, personal interests and extracurricular activities so interviewers could see how those experiences build useful workplace skills.
During the conversations, pupils received specific feedback on their communication style, confidence and the clarity of their responses. The feedback highlighted areas for improvement and gave practical tips for them to use in the future.
Miss Spurrier, Sixth Form Administrator & Work Related Co-ordinator, said ‘this may be the first time these pupils have taken part in an interview. I was pleased to see how everyone approached the experience with enthusiasm and maturity. I hope that they took something from it and I’m confident that this experience will support their future pathways.’
