We’ve seen an incredible effort from students across the school in Y7-11 who took part in this year’s cross country.

Not only does Cross Country promote physical wellbeing but there a number of added benefits of taking part. These include;

  • Respecting other students’ efforts and ensuring you treat the local area with appropriate consideration
  • Giving something a go that is hard and out of students comfort zones. Digging deep when it gets hard.
  • Displaying positive behaviours around the local community. Trying your hardest for your House.
  • Being supportive of one another and helping others to achieve their personal excellence.
  • Personal pride and self-esteem for completing a challenge.

For the student’s that have done particularly well, they will have the opportunity to be selected to attend Rowley Park in Stafford on Monday 20th October. The top performers will also be considered for the District Competition in November at Oldfield Middle School, with the potential to go to the Cross Country Championships. Students will also gain the maximum points for their House – contributing to the House Match Cup.

Our Head Girl, Pippa S who is responsible for Extra Curricular Events, is currently collating the scores and we will be able to announce the winner shortly.
