Welcoming our Year 7 pupils
It’s been great to welcome our new Year 7 pupils this week and incredibly promising to see so much enthusiasm, politeness and a willingness to learn. Thank you to our Sixth Form Student Leaders for guiding the Year 7 pupils around the school. This will continue into next week too so we can be sure Year 7 feel confident and settled in these initial weeks. As well as getting to know their form tutors, peers, attending their lessons and enjoying the canteen, Year 7 pupils have attended their Welcome Assembly, led by Mrs Roberts – Head of Year 7.
Mrs Roberts said ‘the Year 7 cohort have made a fantastic start this week. As a year group they are already showing JTHS values and adapting well to being part of the JTHS school community. We are looking forward to meeting with parents next week at our ‘Welcome to Lower School’ event to share information on pupil expectations, key dates, events and general life at JTHS for your child.’
‘Welcome to Lower School’ Event Details
The ‘Welcome to Lower School’ Event on Tuesday 8th September starts at 5.30pm – 6.30pm. Please take a look at the letter below which provides information about the evening. You should have also received the below letter via email today. Please note, due to limited space, this is a parent/carer only event.
We look forward to working collaboratively with parents/carers as your child moves through the school with us. Please can we remind parents/carers that, if travelling by car, pupils should be dropped off in the village or at the pedestrian gates on Palmer Close or by the Library. No cars should be coming through the main school gates. Thank you for your co-operation.
