The Sporting Young Ambassadors are integral to the success of sporting and community events that Mrs Berry runs throughout the year.
To say a huge thank you for their dedication and commitment, Mrs Berry treated them to a delicious pizza lunch on Thursday afternoon. The celebration was the perfect chance to socialise, enjoy some pizza and reflect on the amount of hours they had volunteered over the year. Mrs Berry said, ‘the community events could not go ahead without the help of Sporting Young Ambassadors. They have been integral to not the only the operations of the events, but they have showed kindness and respect to everyone within the school and wider community during these events. I want to give them a sincere thank you for all their hard-work.’
Throughout the year the Sporting Young Ambassadors have volunteered at the following events where they have showed commitment, teamwork, communication and other interpersonal skills:
– Community Afternoon Tea
– Delivering Christmas & Easter gifts to local elderly residents
– Assisting with Primary School Sporting Events
– Writing letters to people in the community
…and much more!
As some of you may know, Mrs Berry will be retiring at the end of term so it was a nice way to finish the event with three cheers for all her hard work. We look forward to welcoming the new ambassadors for the 2025-26 academic year who will be led by Miss Senior. Keep a look out for the upcoming community events.
