Last week we took over 20 students to a school friendlies swimming gala at John Port. Both teams demonstrated some fantastic performances with many individuals and relays being won by JTHS. It was amazing to see students showcasing their skills in a Sport we don’t get to see in lessons- we certainly have some very talented swimmers! Huge well done to everyone who took part it was a lovely afternoon. We are hoping to do this again in the summer and enter more swimming competitions when available.
On Wednesday we took two teams, U16 and Year 8, to King Edwards VI in Lichfield to play Netball. Both teams put on great performances showcasing some great Netball skills. The U16 teams fought a great battle to win 23-19. Our Year 8 team also put on a fantastic effort narrowly missing out on a win. Great sportsmanship was shown by all. Well done!
The Year 7 Rugby team took part in the Staffordshire County Cup Festival at Stafford Rugby Club on 12th March. The team performed really well, picking up 3 wins and 2 loses to finish as Runners up in the plate competition.
Well done to our U15 cricket team who took part in the Staffordshire County Finals. Overall the team came 5th out of 36 schools who entered the tournament.
