Staffordshire Libraries & Communities Service are looking to appoint a new Staffordshire Young Poet Laureate for 2026-27. This one-year post offers an opportunity to continue the work of previous Young Poet Laureates and bring new ideas for raising the profile of poetry amongst children and young people across Staffordshire. This role is an opportunity and a platform to celebrate young talent while raising aspirations of others through promotion and performance.

The Young Poet Laureate will be age 14-18, and live or go to school/ college in Staffordshire. The role will be mentored by the Staffordshire Poet Laureate who will support & encourage development throughout their role.

Deadline for application is Friday 21st August.
