Matt Lilley, Golf Operations Manager at Lichfield Golf Club visited JTHS this week to deliver a presentation, for the 4th year running, to our Year 12 BTEC IT students.
He provided a practical workshop on branding and social media channels and opened with a company overview. He then guided students through key topics including social media platforms, content strategy, branding, handling feedback and FAQs, identifying target audiences, improving customer experience, retention data capture and analysis, and measuring ROI.
The session was highly interactive and pupils asked thoughtful questions to help them with their upcoming website creation coursework. Pupils were given real scenarios to work on and create a social media and branding strategy for each business.
The session gave the students relevant insight into current trends and workplace expectations, helping them build practical skills and a competitive edge for both coursework submission and future careers.
Thank you to Matt for his engaging and insightful presentation and to the Year 12’s for showing enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
