A Visit from Keelys Solicitors

Today our Year 12 students had the privilege of welcoming Paul Roberts, Head of the Employment Department at Keelys Solicitors, Lichfield, for an engaging and informative session on employment law which is a key topic in Paper 1, Section A of their course.

With over 20 years of experience in employment law, Paul brought a wealth of knowledge to the classroom. Specialising in all aspects of employment law and representing both employers and employees, he guided students through the complexities of employment rights and the processes involved in an employment tribunal, which was great for our pupils to listen to first-hand.

Paul also shared his personal journey into the legal profession as he felt it was important for students to think ‘well if he can do it, so can I’. He offered practical advice and encouragement to those aspiring to careers in law and gave key insights into routes and pathways. This included both the University and Apprenticeship routes. Paul also left his contact details with our students should they want any future advice or work experience in the future.

This was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to ask questions about employment law and get expert answers. We extend our sincere thanks to Paul Roberts for his time and expertise.
