Mrs Drage’s Year 7 form group hosted an exciting charity fundraiser on Thursday 7th May, at lunchtime. Pupils took part in a variety of sports challenges, which brought energy and friendly competition to the event. Freddie W and Mr Hasty did an excellent job as DJs, keeping the atmosphere lively with music. Pupils could also buy sweets, cakes and drinks and the proceeds will be donated to The Kids Village and contributed to the new 3G Sports Pitch.

Mrs Drage wanted to sincerely thank everyone for their contribution to making the event a great success in particular; staff, pupils, families and Asda Supermarket in Burton who donated the majority of the sweets and drinks.

The event not only raised money, but encouraged a real sense of community spirit. The money is being counted and we estimate about £350 has been raised. These kinds of fundraisers require a significant amount of planning and 7Y did an incredible job ensuring the event ran smoothly. Well done to all those involved!
