John Taylor High School were celebrating the success of their pupil’s impressive GCSE & Vocational course results today and were delighted that the Year 11 cohort have once again exceeded expectations. Along with the support and dedication from subject specialist teachers, pupils have shown an incredible amount of tenacity this academic year which has contributed to this year’s strong performance.
Headteacher, Mr Blanchenot, commented that ‘it has been a great year for our Year 11 pupils and I am so proud to have witnessed their hard work and commitment as Headteacher of John Taylor High School. We have exceptional pupils in our school community, and I am pleased to have seen so many smiling faces on results day”. He added that “our results demonstrate that we continue to provide a high-quality education for our students. We aim to provide a rich curriculum which is not only broad, but ambitious too. We believe it is important to develop well-rounded students, both academically and personally, in order to fully prepare them for their next steps.’
Miss Dean, Head of Upper School added, ‘following this excellent set of results, we are thrilled that so many members of the Year 11 cohort will be returning to our Sixth Form in September as they begin the next stage of their educational journey. I am confident that they will continue to embody the high standards and values of John Taylor High School, making the most of every opportunity available to them. Congratulations to each and every one of you.’
Notable students who achieved exceptional results include; Annie who achieved 9 grade 9s and 1 grade 8 | Amelia C who achieved 8 grade 9s, 1 grade 8 and 1 grade 7 | Jake D who achieved 6 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s | Milly A and Momina B were also amongst pupils who achieved Distinction* in vocational subjects.
In addition to the results, there were a substantial number of students who have progressed immensely throughout their time at John Taylor High School. A special mention goes to Annie, Isobelle B, Amelia C, Hasan H, and Momina B.
