This week the Sixth Formers have enjoyed a Christmas Quiz led by the House Leaders, here’s what Louie B said;
“The Christmas quiz this year was hosted for both Years 12 and 13 on separate days, in replacement of their usually timetabled Enrichment lesson. For Year 12, this was Tuesday 16th December P5+6, and Year 13’s was Wednesday 17th December P3+4. Every student who was not timetabled an actual lesson attended, and it was really great to see each year group together as a whole in the sixth form room. The quiz was ran by myself and Pippa and was purely for fun, so therefore has no bearing on House Points status. We structured the quiz as a Kahoot, so the year groups split into teams of around 6, each with a laptop, to compete against one another in a fast-paced quiz, created by Pippa- the Head Student for Extra-Curricular and Events. The students seemed to really engage well with the light-hearted festivities, with a variety of different rounds within the quiz, covering many topics such as Sport, History, Music, and of course a Christmas round. The winning Year 12 and Year 13 teams earned themselves a box of Celebrations as a prize, which was certainly well-received by the winners! Overall, it was a fantastic way to end such a busy term with some festive fun and reinforce the communal values that John Taylor strives to uphold!”

We’d also like to share that the Sixth Form non-uniform day totals from Friday 21st November have been sent back to us, and we managed to raise £352.40 towards the total fund for our 2 charities (Kid’s Village and the Astroturf Pitch project)! Thank you to everyone who donated!
