Today’s hot chocolate celebration has been re-named to Hot Chocolate with the ‘Heath’ as our Deputy Headteacher, Mr Heath had the pleasure of meeting with this week’s star students.

Firstly we welcomed back Milo H in Year 10, who we know is taking the karate world by storm. Milo has had previous recognition in school for his undeniable talent in karate, however recently at the GCO/WKUWORLD Championships in Germany, Milo represented England and came away with an incredible three gold medals. Milo’s perseverance in the sport is commendable and it is fantastic to see he progression at elite level.

Also joining Mr Heath was Reuben H in Year 7, who is Milo’s younger brother and shows huge promise in Karate in equal measures. Reuben’s remarkable performance at the GCO/WKUWORLD Championships in Germany, meant he took home a silver medal for the England team. Well done Reuben!

Next to be recognised was Beth H in Year 11, who was nominated by her Head of Year, Miss Archer, for demonstrating outstanding kindness around school. This recognition is especially fitting following ‘World Kindness Day’ last week, and kindness is one of our core values lying at the heart of our school community. Thank you Beth for being a superb role model, your thoughtful actions have made a real difference to others.

The final pupils to be nominated were Zoe V, Poppy G, Anna D and Ruby C, all in Year 7, for being accepted into the U12’s Staffordshire County Netball Academy for the 2025/26 season. The pathway is designed in conjunction with England Netball to provide an opportunity for young netballers to develop their skills and work towards reaching their goals within netball. Despite their extensive training schedule, the girl’s spoke passionately about their love for netball and their current team, Lichfield.  Well done to these pupils for showing perseverance, we are looking forward to watching your talent develop in this sport.
