This week’s Hot Chocolate with the Head celebrated a group of Year 9 and Year 10 pupils who volunteered to support the recent Year 6 Induction Day. Miss Crutchley, Head of Lower School, nominated Hollie, Lucy, Scarlett, Jess, Cody, Minnie, Halchi, Amelia, Charlotte, Maisie, Faith, Grace, Alice, Sophia, Sadie, Isabelle, Jamie, Rhys and Evie for their outstanding displays of kindness, respect and integrity while helping the new cohort settle in.

Miss Crutchley commented that ‘it is our aim that all pupils joining our school community feel confident with their new routines and feel supported & welcomed. We couldn’t do this without the help of our pupils who were all on hand to guide and reassure the new Year 7s during the Induction Day.’ Our pupil volunteers assisted with lesson changeovers, answered questions and modelled positive behaviour throughout the day.
Mr Blanchenot met with the group of pupils and expressed how proud he was of their contribution, thanking them for giving up their time to support the event. Well done to everyone involved.
It was also great to welcome Lucy and Ava in Year 10, who were unable to attend the celebration last week, for their achievements in the UK Police Memorial Poetry Project. You can read about their contribution to project in last week’s article.
