Pupils were treated to hot chocolate this morning as Mr Blanchenot celebrated some outstanding sporting achievements.
Seb R in Year 7, Freya E in Year 8, Olive H in Year 8, Alexia P in Year 8, Daniel S in Year 12 and Bella R in Year 12 recently competed at the Staffordshire County Swimming Championships across two weekends at Sandwell Aquatic Centre.
Sam G in Year 10 has been offered a place at Leicester Tigers’ Rugby Academy.
It was inspiring to hear pupils speak so passionately about their sport, sharing their goals, performances and what they can do to progress. Many of the pupils train up to four times a week and Mr Blanchenot explained how developing great habits at an early age transfer directly to schoolwork, future careers and overall wellbeing. He said ‘showing these qualities and that level of commitment develops perseverance, builds on skill and can lead to great opportunities.’
