Mr Blanchenot warmly welcomed today’s star students to celebrate their achievements at Hot Chocolate with the Head. From sports and geography to computer science, Mr Blanchenot was pleased to see how pupils are showing strong enthusiasm for our enrichment opportunities.

Harry G, Alfie L, Daisy C and Grace A in Year 8 were nominated by Mrs Bostock for entering the Raspberry Pi competition, which required them to create a solution using the Raspberry Pi programming. The group named themselves the ‘Pixel Pioneers’ and did incredibly well at explaining their concept and rationale.

Ryan C, Charlie B and Dahlia D in Year 7 were re-invited and nominated by Mr Mitchell for completing the Valentines ‘Kindness’ Cross-Curricular Activity. The pupils had to complete tasks in Science, Tech, English, Art & Maths (STEAM) in conjunction with the school’s core value of kindness.

Lastly Megan C and Jacob H in Year 9 and Issy H in Year 12 were nominated by Miss Senior for qualifying and competing in the English Schools Cross Country Championships at Sefton Park. These pupils performed incredibly well and showed a high level of perseverance, skill and athletic ability throughout the competition.
Mr Blanchenot highlighted that despite their being a range of achievements across different subjects, what they all have in common is the willingness our pupils have shown to achieve personal excellence in extra-curricular activities.
