Mr Blanchenot was delighted to meet with a group of Year 7s who completed the STEAM Cross-Curricular Project, which focused on pupils completing tasks in Science, Tech, English, Art & Maths.

Led by Mr Mitchell, this is the second time the project has been delivered and was given the theme of ‘kindness’ in conjunction with valentine’s day and our school’s core value. The briefs included a wide range of activities to appeal to our Year 7 participants, who were all excited to begin the tasks.
Science– Science investigation into the melting point of chocolate
Maths – A Love for numbers!
English (LRC) – Accelerated reader challenge
Art – Poly block printing to represent kindness/valentines
Computer Science – Love at first byte!
To mark the occasion the pupils not only enjoyed a hot chocolate with Mr Blanchenot but were treated to some delicious heart themed biscuits. Well done to Scarlette O, Dahlia D, Florence H, Jakob H, Ryan C, Charlie B and Edward U who were named the winners.

The next cross-curricular project is taking shape and will fall under theme of a‘Spring – Growth Project’.
We’d also like to say well done to Thea C in Year 7 for being nominated by Miss Liechti for showing Personal Excellence!
