Today Mr Blanchenot had the pleasure of spending break time with this week’s star students who were nominated for demonstrating one our school’s core values; Perseverance, Integrity, Respect and Kindness.

Firstly Joshua (Y8) shared with the group his fantastic swimming achievement where he was selected to compete in the Irish National. Mr Markwell made the nomination for the perseverance Joshua had shown in the run up and during the competition.
The next group of students were all nominated by Miss Clayton for their incredible artwork entries at The Alrewas Show over the summer. It was a nail-biting wait for the pupils as their artwork was put through the judging process. Rebekah (Y9) was awarded 3rd 3D Junior Artist, Rabia (Y9) was awarded Highly Commended, Dexter (Y8) was awarded 1st in 2D Junior Art, James (Y8) was awarded Highly Commended, Mya (Y8) was awarded 2nd in 2D Junior Art, Lexi (Y10) was awarded Best in Show for her artwork and Abigail (Y12) was awarded most Promising Young Artist. Abigail shared with the group that she is excited about her Art A-Level and would love to continue this at University.
It was a delight to listen to such a talented group of students today, whether that be in sport or art. Each student has shown a high-level of dedication outside of school which is extremely pleasing to see. Well done to you all!
