Mr Blanchenot was delighted to start his Friday morning by celebrating the incredible achievement of Betty S at the online JTMAT Exceptional Achievement Award ceremony.
You may remember we told you all about Betty and her YoungMinds Campaign with M&S, which you can read more about here. Now that the total fundraising donations have been counted, Betty’s design surpassed any expectations, and she managed to raise a combined £15,000, therefore is much deserving of an Exceptional Achievement Award.
The JTMAT Exceptional Achievement Award is an initiative led by Mr Donoghue, JTMAT CEO, to showcase all the remarkable individuals that we have across all the schools within the JTMAT. Nominations are put through a rigorous selection process to ensure all the criteria for the award it met.
Betty’s dad was excited to share her achievement therefore nominated her. He said ‘Betty entered an M&S nationwide competition to design a T-shirt in support of the mental health charity YoungMinds. The competition received an incredible 8,400 entries from young people across the country, each hoping to make a positive impact through their artwork. After the judging process, Betty’s design was selected as one of just four winning entries. It is a remarkable achievement and a testament to her creativity and dedication but also plays a real role in supporting young people’s wellbeing nationwide’.
During the ceremony, Betty was presented with a certificate and prestigious gold pin badge to wear by Mr Blanchenot. Well done Betty, we are extremely proud of you!
