Severn Trent’s 4-day Work Experience Programme gives students a hands-on look at both the operational and office-based sides of our business.
Whether you’re out in the field or supporting key projects in areas like HR, Engineering, or Data Science, every placement is designed to help you build essential soft skills – like communication, teamwork, problem solving, confidence, time management, and organisation. It’s a great way to explore career paths while developing the skills you’ll need for the future.

Coventry Young person office work experience placement (14-18yrs)
This placement gives you the chance to step into a real workplace and see how different teams work together to keep things running smoothly. You’ll be placed in one of our essential area of the business, where you’ll meet professionals, learn new skills, and get involved in exciting tasks.
Location: STC-Severn Trent Centre, 2 St Johns Street CV1 2LZ Coventry.

Nottingham Young person laboratory work experience placement (14-18yrs)
This placement gives you the chance to explore the world of science in action! You’ll be based in one of our water quality laboratories, where scientists test water from rivers, reservoirs, and taps to make sure it’s clean and safe to use.
