We’re delighted to share a fantastic opportunity for students to take part in an exclusive Rolls-Royce Insight Experience this year.
‘Discover: Behind the Scenes’ is a 4 day, in-person programme giving students a rare look inside one of the most enduring and iconic brands in the world. Available in Derby and Bristol (and other locations later in the year), this experience is ideal for young people interested in either a career in engineering or business.
What they’ll be doing?
This hands-on programme gives students the chance to:
- Find out more about Rolls-Royce
- Collaborate on a team project, from initial challenge to final professional presentation
- Develop key skills through workshops focused on employability and personal growth including future-ready skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving and professional confidence
- Experience real-world engineering and innovation through hands-on activities
- Connect with current apprentices through networking sessions and Q&As
- Get practical advice on applying for future opportunities at Rolls-Royce
Where & when?
Derby: Tuesday 3rd – 6th March 2026 (current Year 12 students)
Bristol: Tuesday 24th March – Friday 27th March 2026 (current Year 10 students)
Who can apply?
- Students who are currently in Year 12 for Derby and Year 10 for Bristol
- No specific subjects or prior experience needed but students must be able to attend the full 4 days on-site in their chosen location (including travel if you’re not local)
- Before applying, they’ll need to complete the ‘Future Ready Skills’ module on our virtual work experience platform, Discover: On Demand, they can access the platform here
- This will require creating a free account
- The module is called ‘Future Ready Skills’ and it will take between 45 minutes and 1 hour to complete
- They’ll then receive a certificate of completion, which they can download directly from the Discover: On Demand platform under the “My Achievements” section
- They’ll need to upload this certificate as part of their Discover: Behind the Scenes application
